A new chapter for The Ridgeway.
In 2019 The Ridgeway was refurbished to a high standard and set out to create one of the best places to eat and drink in Newport. Following the extensive refurbishment, The Ridgeway opened with freshly prepared food, quality drinks and a friendly, welcoming service.
On 4th April 2026 the pub reopened under new ownership, with the restaurant reopening with a new chef in June 2026.
Today, the venue combines a large outside area, a comfortable bar and a casual, relaxed restaurant. The aim remains simple: make guests feel at home and turn guests into friends.
